Proceedings of SAC Meeting (Hybrid Mode) held at KVK Buldana-I on 13th Dec. 2023

 

Scientific Advisory Committee  meeting of KVK Buldana-I was held on 13th December 2023 at 11.00 am under the Chairmanship of Hon. Mr. K. G. Ingle, Chairman KVK. At the outset,                Mr. A.T. Gabhane, (SMS, Plant Protection) briefed about objectives of the meeting and introduced to all the dignitaries present for the meeting.

The welcome of all the dignitaries present for the meeting was carried out by Mr. Vikas G. Jadhao, Sr. Scientist & Head KVK & Secretary, SAC. In the attendees, Hon Dr. D. B. Mr. Vikas G. Jadhao, Sr. Scientist & Head KVK in presentation, highlighted the compliance action taken against suggestions received in previous SAC meeting that was held on 06.09.2022.  The details of activities conducted in 2023 by KVK with action plan for the year 2024 was presented by him in front of the dignitaries in the meeting.

For the effective functioning of KVK in future endeavor, some suggestions were received from SAC members in the meeting. Based on minutes of the meeting and discussion held during & after presentation, following suggestions were given by distinct committee members.

Agricultural and allied sector enterpreneuriship through KVK should be promoted (Hon. K.G. Ingle, Chairman, SAC)

  1. Hatchery unit of KVK should be upgraded (Hon. K.G. Ingle, Chairman, SAC) 
  2. Rabbi sorghum cultivation should be promoted (Hon. K.G. Ingle, Chairman, SAC)
  3. The demonstration of Organic / Natural Farming should be undertaken at KVK instructional farm. (Hon. K.G. Ingle, Chairman, SAC)
  4. Skill training on food processing should be conducted (Hon. K.G. Ingle, Chairman, SAC)
  5. The dessiminated technologies through KVK should be according to climatic condictions.

  7. The feedback from the beneficiaries of OFT and Skill Training Programmes should be regularly recorded. (Dr. Tushar Athare, Scientist, ATARI, Pune)
  8. Use of ICT tools should be increased (Dr. Tushar Athare, Scientist, ATARI, Pune)
  9. Enterpreneurship development in poultry and Goatery sector should be promoted. (Dr. Tushar Athare, Scientist, ATARI, Pune)
  10. KVK Website should be upgraded regularly. (Dr. Tushar Athare, Scientist, ATARI, Pune)
  11. Impact analysis of OFT’s should be in terms of economical impact. (Dr. Tushar Athare, Scientist, ATARI, Pune)
  12. Awareness programmes about reduction in use of chemical fertilizers and insecticide should be conducted. (Hon. Dr.D.B. Undirwade, DEE, Dr.PDKV, Akola)
  13. Awareness programmes about use of own produced seeds by farmers should be undertaken. (Hon. Dr.D.B. Undirwade, DEE, Dr.PDKV, Akola)
  14. Promotion of subsidiary business like Sericulture should be promoted through KVK. (Hon. Dr.D.B. Undirwade, DEE, Dr.PDKV, Akola)
  15. Varietal promotion of Dr.PDKV, Akola through OFT and FLD. (Hon. Dr.D.B. Undirwade, DEE, Dr.PDKV, Akola)
  16. Scientific trainings of the beneficiaries of goat farming through NLM. (Dr. R.R. Isad, Asstt. Comm. Animal Husbandry, Jalgaon Jamod)
  17. Technical baskstopping for different schemes, trainings and projects under State Agril. Dept. should be provided by KVK. (Mr. Purushottam Unhale, PD, ATMA)
  18. Demonstration and training on natural farming in collaboration with ATMA Buldana should be conducted by KVK. (Mr. Purushottam Unhale, PD, ATMA)
  19. Trainings for entrepreneurship development using innovative technologies should be facilitate by KVK. (Mr. Gadhe, DDM, NABARD.

 

Visit of Hon. Director, ATARI, Pune

Hon. Dr. S.K. Roy visited KVK Buldana-I on 12th September 2023. Hon. K.G. Ingle, Chairman, KVK welcome Hon. Director, ICAR-ATARI, Pune. Mr. V.G. Jadhao, Head KVK briefed about the salient achievements and future plan of the KVK through presentation. Dr. S.K. Roy interacted with the every staff of KVK and discussed various activities carried out by them and planned in future. Hon. Chairman also briefed about work of host institute and rendered the time to time help to KVK by ATARI, Pune. Visited the crop cafeteria demonstrating different types of millets and varietal demonstration plots of soybean, vermicompost unit, azolla unit, custom hiring unit, cereal and pulses processing unit, mother orchards and fruit orchards from horticultural unit and poultry unit etc. Hon. Dr. S.K. Roy appreciated the work in form of different projects, demonstrations, mother orchard of different fruit crops, custom hiring unit, vermicompost, poultry unit etc. KVK is working satisfactorily for the farming community in district. The agricultural development will be taken a fast path through various interventions of the KVK. The efforts of the KVK staff are incredible and wish best for future endeavor. During this visit Mr. Bhausaheb Ingle, Vice President, SES, Dr. S.N. Bhople, Secretary, SES, Dr. R.L. Kale, Head KVK Washim, Dr. Atul Kalaskar, Head, KVK Amravati II, Dr. Umesh Thakare, Head, KVK Akola, KVK Scientists and staff members were present for the programme.
